Fri 4/22 @ 5-8PM
In its decade of existence, the Cleveland Print Room’s gallery has mounted a variety of shows, not all of them strictly limited to photography. That’s true of its next show, titled Juxtaposed: Photographs and Objects From the Collection of John Foster.
Foster is St. Louis-based an artist and collector of … lots of things. He’s interested in the unusual and offbeat with particular interest in photography and “outsider” art. His social media, @accidentalmystery, “photography, design, art, architecture, ephemera, found objects, pop culture, anonymous work, outsider and folk art, self taught art, illustrations, beauty, esoterica, auctions, discovery, art environments, mystery, vintage stuff, and the magic that can be found in everyday things.”
The show at the Cleveland Print Room will feature some of his photos and collected items, curated in collaboration with Cleveland Print Rooms Shari Wilkins and Jess Fijalkovich, pairing photos with items from the collection.
There’ll be a special preview exhibition of the show Friday Aril 22 @ 5-8pm with a grand opening Friday April 29 @ 5-8pm. They’re free & open to all.
