Wed 10/14 @ 7:30PM (doors 6pm)
Three of the area’s outstanding women vocalists have performed together so often they even have an official name: Sisters in Song.
Becky Boyd, Rachel Brown, and Kristine Jackson are all known for their mastery in the expansive genre known as “Americana,” with different combinations of American roots music providing their influences. Guitarist/vocalist Jackson’s rock is heavily influenced by the blues. Becky Boyd also brings some blues into her punchy vocals, with some jazz inflections as well. And Brown, who is also a pianist and leads the band the Beatnik Playboys, adds some classic country to the mix, along with blues, jazz and rock. Together they perform some classic cover tunes, as well as their own material.
The trio also represents a generational span, with Jackson’s experience on the scene going back 20 years, while Boyd has been performing for more than 40.
Come to the Music Box Supper Club to hear what these three diverse singer/songwriter/musicians bring to the stage when they have esch other to bounce off of.
Doors open at 6pm for dinner; show starts at 7:30. Go HERE for tickets.
