For more than fifty years, the Cleveland Composers Guild has presented new music by more than 200 composer members. It currently has 40 members in a variety of musical styles whose pieces are widely performed by area musicians.
Their upcoming concert, taking place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights, is a collaboration with the Cleveland Cello Society and will focus on music exclusively for that instrument, performed by members of the Cleveland Cello Society and the Bowling Green State University cello studio
They will play work composed by Jennifer Conner, Margi Griebling-Haigh, Kolten Heeren, Will Hermanowski, Chris Neiner, Geoffrey Peterson, Jeremy Piper, Ryan Charles Ramer, Adam Roberts, Matthew Saunders, and Stephen Stanziano, written for cello duos, trios and quartets.
The concert is free and open to all.
