The St. Clair Superior Arts Festival returns for the 7th year to showcase the art and music scene expanding in that community.
Taking place outside on St. Clair between East 40th and East 45th Street, visitors can expect to find graffiti artists painting a mural, Live art demonstrations, creative vendors with art and other items available for purchase, a live music stage, DJs, and food trucks.
Performers include hip hop by Malik X, Con Tu, comedian Ramon Reeves, Tribe of Eli with the Djapo dancers and drummers, reggae artist J.R. Blessington, Joe Abrams and the Men of Bells Band, Moor Amine, tech house with Morgan Short & Poetry Troop, veteran local hip hop ensemble Muamin Collective, and guitarist/vocalist Jinari Kemet & his band the Black Jackets. At 6:45 on the Evergreen Main Stage there’ll be a Guinness World Record Line Dance Competition backed by a full band — come help shatter the record. Finally, Prescription of Joy & Global Flow Landscape will wind things down from 8:30-9 and send you home in peace.
The event is free, family-friendly and open at all.
