Expect to see a lot more happening at Graffiti HeArt in the future, as the AsiaTown-based nonprofit which supports street-style art and artists moved into its second decade, with its first paid staff member, the return of its founder to active-duty status, and an ever-increasing circle of engaged artists.
One of its biggest assets is its dedicated building — the conspicuous, rainbow-painted building on the northwest corner of Superior Avenue and East 49th Street. And there’s an art party there this Saturday called MicroDoze: ChARTcuterie PT 2, hosted by San Goodee and the LANDbassador.
It’s described as “a live, visceral capsule of expression where Cleveland’s creative pulse takes center stage.” It includes visual art, sound and spoken word, provided by featured artists Journee Blu, Julian “Wordz” Dickinson, VitaGold, Stoney Simkins, Honasty Blade, NAPZ and other special guest. DJ Alive will be providing the music.
