After several years of searching Zygote Press, devoted to teaching, creating and exhibiting printmaking arts, found a new space to replace its outgrown one, just in time for its 30th anniversary. It’s moved into the old Kalman and Pabst photo studio on Perkins Avenue, and it invited the arts community in on a rainy Friday evening to show off the space’s expanded potential, with dedicated spaces for different types of printmaking equipment, along with a spacious gallery area. The event attracted a who’s who of the local visual arts scene including Zygote co-founded Liz Maugans (center, above).
