Bob Frank & the Delta Blues Cats Return to the Treelawn

Sat 2/28 @ 8PM

When Bob Frank and his Delta Blues Cats return to the stage of the Treelawn in the Waterloo Arts District for the second time, the stage at that historic venue will be hosting a century and a half of musical experience.

Guitarist/vocalist Bob Frank was a long-time member of the Hotfoot Quartet and popular local swing/blues/jump/rock ensemble Blue Lunch, before going his own way to focus on acoustic blues as a solo artist. He’s also a co-founder of the Cleveland Blues Society.

Harmonica player (and occasionally guitarist) David Krauss’ lineage goes back even farther, to his late ’60s stint in what would now be called an “Americana” band, Tiny Alice, who recorded an album for a national label and toured extensively. Since then he’s worked with countless area musicians and played with ensembles such as Dr. Jazz and the Blue Drivers.

Bassist Raymond DeForest is another guy whose face has cropped up in numerous bands over the decades, including the Mr. Stress Blues Band, Aces and Eights, Blue Lunch and more, as a sideman for countless area musicians.

They’ll be joined by percussionist Rockin’ Ed Pauli, a podcaster, record collector and dancer. Go here for tickets.
