Thu 12/11 @ 10AM-8:30PM
Wed 12/17 @ 6-8PM
Do the people on your holiday gift list like to read? You’ll definitely want to stop in Loganberry Books for its huge selection of books used and new books on a wide range of topics. You’ll find kids’ books and greeting cards, as well as toys, puzzles, mugs, socks and more in Otis’ Old Curiosity Shop in the Annex Gallery. And a great time to stop in is during its Holiday Open House. There’ll be wine and cheese and live music by Gene’s Jazz Jam from 6-8pm.
Then come back in Wednesday December 17 at 6pm for Jolabokaflod / Jólabókaflóðið, an Icelandic tradition that translates as “Christmas flood of books.” In Iceland on Christmas Eve, people exchange books and spend the evening reading and drinking hot chocolate. You’re invited to come spend a couple of hours reading in one of Loganberry’s many books and enjoy “bottomless cocoa,” and free gift wrapping with each book you purchase to give to friends on Christmas Eve (and on other items you purchase as well.)
