Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band Host Annual Post-Christmas Holiday Revival

Fri 12/26 @ 7:30PM (Doors at 6PM)

In what’s down become an annual event, Cleveland’s favorite reggae band, Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. band will take the stage on Boxing Day — the day after Christmas — for the Carlos Jones Holiday Revival. And if anyone can revive spirits flagging from holiday insanity, it’s this band, known for lighting up outdoors stages all summer long and bringing a spark of summer to local clubs during the winter.

Carlos, of course, is well known in the area music scene, having begun his ascent as a member of I-Tal, Cleveland’s first crossover reggae band, in the late 70s, and then as one of the frontmen for First Light, which reigned as one of the area’s most popular bands of any genre from 1984-1998. Once First Light ran its course, Carlos took the baton and ran with it, making the P.L.U.S. Band beloved in the local music scene. “P.L.U.S.” stands for “peace love unity syndicate” and right now, most of us could use a big dose of that to face 2026.

Opening the show will be Toledo’s Chloe & the Steel Strings, featuring by husband and wife Chloe and Connor Ward, who recently released a new album called Never Coming Back. They describe themselves as “cosmic Americana” which vividly suggests the kind of throwback hippie/granola vibe they project. It should be a feel-good evening all around.
