Throughout the month of November, each Friday during Happy Hour, the Happy Dog in Gordon Square has been turning the club over to program hosts from the former Cleveland State University radio station WCSB 89.3 FM which, notoriously, was turned over to Ideastream Public Media on October 3 to broadcast 24/7 mainstream jazz.
Happy Dog owner Sean Watterson has been a key advocate for returning the diverse student-run format to the air, recognizing its critical role in sustaining a vibrant music scene that grows from the grassroots up. Come on down and hear 3-4 former WCSB DJs play some of the music that you’ll never hear on any IHeartRadio station, while enjoying a signature Happy Dog hot dog and a platter of tater tots. Admission is free.
