Many people in the art community know multimedia artist Dan Depew from his years running Asterisk Gallery in Tremont. Others have seen his striking modernistic chandeliers at 78th Street Studios. A few years ago, he moved out to a farm in Lorain County, called Asterisk Farm, where he has a pick-your-own dahlia business and sells honey, eggs and other farm items. he’s also adorned the place with his art including his wooden birdhouses and a small, boxy chapel.
On a recent Sunday, he invited friends from the art scene out to his farm for a pig roast/potluck and a dahlia pick. With splendid, constantly changing light, it was an ideal day and location for photographs.
