Of course, the first thing you need to know about the Cuyahoga County Fair, which kicks off at the Berea Fairgrounds Tuesday August 5, is that the Demolition Derby takes place in the grandstand on the fair’s closing day, SUUUUUNNNNNDAAAAAY!!!! AUGUST 10.
You have six days to let the anticipation grow with plenty to do in the meantime: 4H and other agricultural and craft exhibits, live music, rides, hula hoop lessons, trained dog shows, tons of the kinds of food you should only eat once a year at the country fair, and other special grandstand attractions, starting with harness racing on Tuesday, a draft horse pull on Wednesday and a horse show during the day on Saturday, with a fireworks and drone show called “Fair Nights, Enchanted Lights” at 10pm Friday through Saturday.
