Due to Rain the Ride has been re-scheduled for Sat 8/23 @ 11Am

Wed 8/20 @ 6:30PM

Last spring, the Cleveland Botanical Garden hosted an extensive exhibit by some of the area’s finest Black artists, called The Nature of Healing. Put together by the Deep Roots Experience gallery, run by David Ramsey in the Fairfax neighborhood, it focused on how art helps heal mind, body and soul.

That exhibit has had a long afterlife, with parts of it on display at venues in the Buckeye/Larchmere neighborhood throughout August. And this week, they’re giving people an unusual opportunity to see all of that with The Nature of Healing Bike tour, led by Do More Cycling.

The group meets up at Literary Cleveland on Larchmere at 6:30 and roll out at 7 to see the exhibits and tge Inspire Your City murals.

Jurnee Ta’Zion curated “ashes to ashes” at Literary Cleveland, an immersive group exhibition looking at the ongoing cycle of death and rebirth in nature. At New Era Cleveland, Jacob Hall curated a show that reflects on the relationship between darkness and light and that relationship’s connection to the African-American experience. Also on Buckeye at the Longhouse, riders will have a chance to see The Nature of Healing: In the Growth Phase, curated by photographer/collage artist Asia Armour described as “offering a quieter reflection on healing through memory, motion, and metaphor.”

Go here to sign up for the ride.
