The mission of Artists Archives of the Western Reserve is to preserve works by significant northeast Ohio artists for future study and exhibition. But the organization also shows work by other artists in shows such as its recent printmaker show and its Cleveland/Western New York exchange show or its extensive showing of area LBGTQ+ artists a few years ago.
One of the shows it holds regularly is its annual members show, with the 2025 edition opening this week. It gives the hundreds of artists who support its mission by becoming members the opportunity to show work of their own. Each active member can contribute one piece in any medium. The show opens with a free, public reception on Thursday July 17 and is on view through September 20 when there’s a closing reception and awards will be announced. During the entire run of the show, visitors can vote for their favorite piece of the People’s Choice Award.
