Fri 9/27 @ 6PM
The Magical Theatre Company, which is based in Barberton outside Akron, mounts touring productions aimed at audiences of all ages. To support its work, it hosts an annual street festival called on Tusc, on Tuscarawas Street in Barberton’s downtown art district.
There’ll be a feast of food, both Italian and American, with vendors dispensing wood-fired pizza, Italian sandwiches, mac & cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, cannoli and ice cream. And there’ll also be a buzz of entertainment, including artists painting live, the Tuscan Trio performing traditional Italian music, Michael Sonata doing his popular Sinatra act and stilt walkers. Vendors at the Piazza del Mercato will be selling art, jewelry, Venetian masks and more. And don’t forget to bring the kids — there’s also face painting!
Raffles will be offered to raise money for the Magical Theatre Company. The event is free and open to all.
