ABC to Air Highlights from 2023 Rock Hall Inductions

Mon 1/1 @ 8-10PM

Did you miss out on the 2023 Rock Hall Inductions this past November 3? It’s OK. Most Clevelanders did: they were held in at Barclay Center New York City where, by many accounts, they were less successful than recent ones in Cleveland.

You have the chance to catch up on January 1, when you’re probably just sitting around recovering from last night’s party anyway, when ABC broadcasts two hours of highlight from the induction show, skipping all the dead time and boring stuff.

But you will see performances by inductees Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Chaka Khan, and Willie Nelson, and collaborations with special gusts such as Brandi Carlile, Dave Matthews, Elton John, Chris Stapleton and New Edition, among others. Other inductees included the late George Michael; Kate Bush who did not participate; Rage Against the Machine, represented solely by guitarist Tom Morello; and the Spinners. DJ Kool Herc and the late Link Wray were inducted as musical influences, while Al Kooper and Bernie Taupin (along with Khan) were cited in that weird-and-getting weirder category, “musical excellence.” (Taupin is not a musician; he’s noted for being Elton John’s long-time lyricist.)

You can watch it on the ABC app on your Smartphone or tablet, on your computer at ABC.com, and on connected devices. Gt information here.
