Coven in Lakewood is a boutique which provides “craft for modern witches.” Since 2018 owner Miranda Scott has packed her cozy shop with “magickal” items such as candles, crystals, herbs, incense, Tarot cards, and books about nature, witchcraft, the occult and other related subjects.
Now Miranda and Blue Cobweb the Word Witch are joining to launch a ’zine called A Cauldron of Stars, where like-minded people can share their thoughts and dreams, in poetry, essays, stories, artwork, photos.
“We want you creative spirits to submit your poems, your essays, your feminist diatribes, your witchy word conjurations, your shocking confessions, your most romantic encounter(s), your sketches/drawings/paintings/collages/photographs personal, wicked and magickal!,” they say. “No boundaries, save the size of our pages!” (5” x 8”)
Submissions should be sent to Blue Cobweb at Cauldron.ofStars@aol.com by Wednesday, February 23. They’re planning for a March release, hopefully accompanied by an event. Stay tuned.
