818 Studios is one of Tremont’s newest galleries, very welcome in a neighborhood once packed with galleries, most of which have closed. Opened in late 2018, it’s the home base for photographer Barbara Merritt, where she shows her own work, that of artists she represents and work by some of Cleveland’s other noted artists such as Liz Maugans, Doug Utter and Anthony Van Rooy. The space is a cluster of cozy rooms up a flight of stairs around the corner and above Fahrenheit restaurant. Look for the bright red door!
