In July, Summit Artspace launched a new monthly event called Art After Hours on the second Thursday of each month, inviting visitors to brosw its galleries, interact with resident and exhibiting artists, and take part in hands-on arts activities.
This month, you can check out the new summer exhibitions that opened last month, watch as dancer Teagan Reed activates the responsive technology in the immersive installation Prismatic Echoes in the Taylor Main Gallery of the first floor, or go upstairs to check out a dance film screening and artist talk in the third floor Community Room, hosted by NCCAkron, an organization that supports working dancers.
It’s free and open to all. Future dates are September 10, October 15, November 12 and December 10.
