Cleveland painter Nikki Woods, a Cleveland Institute of Art graduate who is currently the director of CIA’s Reinberger Gallery, will be showing some of her recent work in an upcoming show at 78th Street Studio’s HEDGE Gallery, her second show in the space.
Vivid Wild Things is described as “a series of new, lush and psychologically resonant paintings … that depict subjects ranging from the female form, to ghosts and porcelain tchotchkes.” They feature women, landscapes and “beautiful objects” as their subject matter.
There’ll be a special preview for art devotees on Thursday July 15 @ 5:30-7:30pm, followed by the public opening Friday July 16 @ 5-9pm during 78th Street’s monthly Third Friday. The show runs through September 3.
