Fri 12/18 @ 5-8PM
Yup, it’s Third Friday at 78th Street Studios again, and any of you who have postponed your Christmas shopping might want to think about grabbing the last-minute opportunity to shop local artists and businesses in one of these scaled-down, crowd-controlled versions of what were once Cleveland’s biggest recurring art event.
Luckily, the building sprawls over four floors so there’s plenty of room to social distance anyway, as you browse the dozens of galleries and studios with their doors open as well as Northcoast Productions’ vendors scattered safely apart in the first floor smARTspace and the Ramp level open space.
There’ll also be musicians to add a festive mood including strolling musician Carrie King playing French café tunes on accordion, Michael McFarland playing in RAMP and the Orchestra of Blank Canvas Theater’s “Holiday Drive-In” playing in smARTspace. And the Rock Hall’s Joy Van will be pumping tines in the parking lot.
Admission is $5, but you get a voucher good for a $5 discount on a purchase from participating artists and vendors. Masks are required, and they’ll have disposable masks at the entrance if you forgot yours (None of this “I left it in the car” stuff). Go here to buy tickets and see a full list of participating businesses, artists and vendors.
