Akron Native Jazz Trumpeter Tommy Lehman Records Live Album at Blu Jazz +

Fri 1/3 @ 8PM

Jazz trumpet player Tommy Lehman is an Akron native who became known in the local music scene when he played with such ensembles as the Ernie Krivda Fat Tuesday Band, the Sam Blakeslee Large Group and Acid Cats.

After graduating from the respected jazz studies program at Tri-C, he moved to West Hartford, Connecticut to attend the Hartt School of Music, where he graduated in 2017.

He’s now coming back home to record a live album at Akron’s Blu Jazz +, showing off the chops he’s acquired, while inviting friends and fans to be part of this special occasion. He’ll be joined by a stellar cast of local players including guitarist Dan Wilson, pianist Theron Brown, bassist Kip Reed and drummer Zaire Darden, along with special guests Peachcurls, Sam Blakeslee and Nathan-Paul Davis of Akron’s the Admirables.

Admission is $20; for $30 you get admission to the show plus a copy of the album when it’s released so you can re-live the experience!
