Take a Sunset Skeleton Stroll at Holden Arboretum

Fri 10/30 @ 5:15-7:15PM

Want to bask in the peak autumn colors with a little Halloween flavor as well? Head out to Holden Arboretum in Kirtland for its Sunset Skeleton Stroll. It’s an opportunity to take in the sprawling facility’s diverse landscape of pastures, woods, lakes and trails at sunset on one of the last evenings when there’ll be light after dinner — it all goes away Sunday when we come off Daylight Savings Time (boo!)

The walk begins at Holden’s seasonal art show, Skeleton Grove, featuring a dozen 12-foot skeletons created by area artists, a few of whom will be there to share the stories behind their creations. The group will then proceed to the Kalberer Emergent Tower where they’ll get a panoramic view of the landscape, glazed by the setting sun, if the weather cooperates.

This event, suitable for both kids and adults, including trail walking approximately 1 ½ miles and climbing the tower, so dress arm and wear comfortable shoes!

Emergent Tower, and returning after sunset in low-light conditions. Please come dressed for the weather and wear sturdy, comfortable shoes. Red-lens flashlights are recommended for the return trip. Get tickets HERE.
