Ohio City Forum “Oh, for the Love of Trees” Focuses on Rebuilding Cleveland’s Tree Canopy

Tue 7/9 @ 6-8PM

Cleveland was once known as the “Forest City,” named for its lush tree canopy. Over the years, it’s virtually all gone away.

There’s now a citywide effort by multiple organizations to replant and restore that canopy. Ohio City Incorporated will be holding a panel and community conversation at the Breen Center called “Oh, for the Love of Trees,” to talk about how those initiatives are progressing and how specifically how impact Ohio City.

Among those participating are the local councilman Kerry McCormack, Isaac Robb of the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, Holden Forest and Gardens’ Courtney Blashka, and City of Cleveland arborist Jennifer Kipp. Moderator is Colby Sattler, a formerly an urban forester with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.

The event is free and open to all. You can register here.
