MIX at CMA Celebrates Bhangra

Fri 6/7 @ 6PM

Bhangra is known as one of India’s most joyous dances, originally associated with the spring harvest and now interpreted with different styles and free forms. The monthly MIX on June 7th @ 6pm at the Cleveland Museum of Art will adopt the vibrant spirit of bhangra as the theme for the night.

It features a color-filled atrium, dance performances and lessons, art activities, in-gallery experiences, and DJs Kris Koch and Samir Thaker spinning an eclectic mix of contagious bhangra beats. DJs will meld history with the contemporary by mixing the high-energy Punjabi music with hip-hop tones. Food is available for purchase at Provenance Café until 8:30 p.m, with reservations available until 8pm.

It’s $10 in advance, $15 day of event. CMA members are free. MIX is for adults 18 and over.
