LakewoodAlive’s Birdtown Picnic and Battle of Birdtown Softball Game invites folks from all over the community to appreciate this beautifully historic neighborhood. On Sat 6/15 @ 10am-12pm, local community leaders, business owners and residents will battle it out in a seven-inning match-up. People are encouraged to come watch Team Robin and Team Lark at Madison Park’s George Usher Field to cheer on your friends.
Following the softball game will be a community picnic from 12-3pm at Madison Park. Meet neighbors and friends for complimentary refreshments and become more familiar with the many community resources Lakewood has to offer.
This free event highlights LakewoodAlive’s Housing Outreach and Community Engagement initiatives. The nonprofit reaches low-to-moderate income households with educational resources, tangible support and community events like this one.
