Cleveland’s Blazing River Freedom Band is all about bringing together musicians of all skill levels of the fun and joy of making music in support of the LGBTQ community. If you’ve been to Pride, you’ve seen them marching in the annual parade.
But you can catch them before the next Pride (June 1) at Tremont’s Pilgrim Church UCC when they perform the next concert of their “alphabet” series “E is for Equality.” It features music by LGBT composers including George Frideric Handel, Julie Giroux and Cleveland-born and -raised Clare Grundman (1913-1996), who attended Shaw High School and Ohio State University before moving to New York.
It’s a suggested $10 donation at the door.
