Pedal the Green Explores the Flats and Riverfront

Sat 5/18 @ 9:30AM-1PM

As much as algae blooms might make going in Lake Erie out of the question, there are plenty of other ways we can appreciate our greatest natural asset this summer season. Whether it be on foot or on wheels, the Green Ribbon Coalition seeks to reimagine and advocate for a bold vision for Cleveland’s lakefront. This vision involves a balance of activated public spaces, recreational infrastructure and commercial development, brought to fruition by providing leadership to build public consensus.

On May 18th, join the coalition in their second annual bike tour Pedal the Green, which glides along trails new and old, visits Canal Basin park and the site of Future Irishtown Bend Park, and explores parts of the lakefront East and West. See the path below!

All ages and skill levels are welcome, and all participants must wear a helmet and obey the rules of the roads. Bring your bike, weather-appropriate clothes, water and sunscreen. Snacks will be provided at the rest stop.

Participants can register in advance here for $15 ($10 for Green Ribbon Coalition members) or at the registration tent day-of. Parking is available in the Merwin’s Wharf lot, and see the map below for more details.
