The North Coast Men’s Chorus Gets All Wet for Its Concerts in Lakewood

Sat 3/23 @ 8PM

Sun 3/24 @ 3:30PM

The North Coast Men’s Chorus comes up with some intriguing themes to build its concerts on. And just ahead of April showers, the theme for their spring concerts is “Wet.”

They’ve picked songs that cover dampness in all its permutations: wet, tears, rivers, oceans, rain. That includes songs such as “Trickle, Trickle,” “Cry Me a River,””Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Down By the Riverside” and “Singin’ in the Rain.” As usual, expect the selections to range from tearjerkers (of course!) to the hilarious; they even promise “some dance songs that will make you sweat.” Pretty much count on some choreography involving umbrellas. But will they do “It’s Raining Men”? Oh come on — what gay man knows that song?

They’ll perform two shows at the Lakewood Civic Auditorium. Tickets are $10-$50.
