Local Writer Lee Chilcote Launches New Poetry Book at Loganberry Books

Fri 1/11 @ 6:30-8:30PM

Late last year, journalist/essayist/poet Lee Chilcote stepped down as executive director of the group he founded, Literary Cleveland, to focus on his own writing. That happened about the same time his second chapbook of poetry How to Live in Ruins first appeared.

The poems deal with some of the same themes as his journalism and issues, looking at the impact of the foreclosure crisis on the lives of real families and what it means to stake out a life in the urban core — for good and bad.

Chilcote will host an official launch for the book at Loganberry Books on Larchmere Boulevard. He’ll be joined by poets Jim Farrett and Diane Vogel Ferri. The event is free and open to the public.
