Pop-Up Pish Posh Gallery in Akron Shows Street-Style/Pop Art

Sat 7/14-Sat 9/29

Get a dose of street-style/pop culture-based art in Akron when Hieronymus and Superchief Galleries take over a building adjacent to the Akron Art Museum to install a pop-up gallery called Pish Posh.

Hieronymus Gallery was inspired by the hallucinatory work of 15th century artist Hieronymus Bosch; it had work in the Akron Art Museum in its 2017 shows, Turn the Page: The First Ten Years of Hi-Fructose and Gross Anatomies.

The artist-run Superchief Gallery has locations in New York, Miami and Los Angeles, and includes noted artists who have shown at the Museum of Modern Art and been featured in publications such as Juxtapoz Magazine, Vice, Hyperallergic and PAPER.

The gallery will be open Wednesday-Saturday @ noon-5pm during the run of the FRONT Triennial Sat 7/14-Sat 9/29.
