It’s the season for the Ohio City Singers, a band of local musicians who formed the group ten years ago to perform holiday music. It includes such noted local players as Brent Kirby, Chris Allen, Austin “Walkin Cane” Charanghat, Matt Sobol, Doug McKean and producer Don Dixon.
Initially a casual collection of friends coming together at a Christmas party, the group now performs a full seasonal schedule, fueled by a growing repertoire of their own original music, available on four albums and a new digital release All Wrapped Up.
They kick things off at the Music Box Supper Club this Sat 12/2. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Their regular gig at G.A.R. Hall in Peninsula is Sat 12/9 (That one always sells out so get on it and reserve your ticket! And they play the House of Blues Sat 12/16.
