Eat Tacos, Drink Margaritas & Help Homeless Kitties at Cinco de Meow in Lakewood

Fri 5/5 @ 5-9PM

Certainly the American holiday of Cinco de Mayo, which pretends to be some sort of Mexican celebration, is an overblown drunkie fest. But we can definitely get behind the 2nd annual Cinco de Meow, a fundraiser for two (surprise!) cat rescues, Lucky Paws and Tails from the City.

Taking place at Around the Corner in Lakewood, guests will enjoy an all-you-can-eat taco bar with lots of vegan and vegetarian choices, a 50/50 raffle and other raffles, and prize giveaways for cats and dogs (since we know a lot of you animal-lovers have both!) Last year they had 300 cat-lovers there and they’re expected 400 this year to help the rescue groups care for cats, foster them and get them adopted into permanent homes. Come munch on tacos while sharing photos of your cats with a bunch of new friends whose idea of a great evening is looking at cat pictures. Tickets are $30 and include food and either two domestic beers or a margarita.
