One of the many benefits of northeast Ohio overflowing with great musicians and organizations devoted to presenting and supporting high-quality music is the inspiration and leg up that they provide for younger musicians.
The Cleveland Chamber Music Society has been bringing top-flight chamber music groups to Cleveland for concerts for nearly seven decades. But now it also sponsors it’s Youth Chamber Music Challenge, taking place at Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church.
There, seven student chamber ensembles from high school music programs at the Aurora School of Music, Saint Joseph Academy and Solon High School will compete for cash prizes. The concert is free and open to the public.
