Got an ugly holiday sweater that you inherited from your grandmother or got as a joke gift? Put it on and join other celebrants at Betty’s Ugly Sweater Party and Pet Food Drive at St. John’s Historic Episcopal Church in Ohio City’s Hingetown neighborhood.
There, both humans and dogs will compete to show off their ugly sweaters to celebrity guest judges Peggy and Ed Gallek from Cleveland’s Fox 8. It’s $5 for a human to enter, $10 for a human and dog. Two humans can enter for $8 and a team of four humans and a dog are $20. In addition, each dog or cat item — a bag of dry food, cat litter, blankets, beds — you bring gets you a free raffle ticket. All items and profits go to the Voices in the Dark Animal Rescue.
