One of the Akron Symphony’s most beloved events is its annual Gospel Meets Symphony concert at E.J. Thomas Hall.

It’s a community event where 200 singers from around northeast Ohio, many of them outstanding soloists in area church choirs, join the orchestra for an evening of roof-raising tunes. Jennifer Mekel Jones will join Akron Symphony music director Christopher Wilkins in conducting the concert.

Tickets are $25-$55. But hurry — this one sells out.
