Every month, the Cleveland Blues Society hosts a jam to bring together the local blues community to play some tunes together and connect with other fans.
This month it’ll be at the Music Box Supper Club for the first time, and the host will be one of Cleveland’s veteran bluesmen Travis Moonchild Haddix. Born in Mississippi and raised in Milwaukee, Haddix moved to Cleveland in 1959 and established himself both here and in Europe, where he has frequently played festivals, as one of the preeminent blues men of the older generation.
Haddix and his band will play a set to get things fired up before various other local blues luminaries as well as aspiring players take the stage.
The jam is free. Doors open at 5:30 in case you’d like to have dinner before the music starts.
