Mardi Gras is right around the corner. And what better band to celebrate with in Cleveland than local swamp/roots pop band Cats on Holiday, who have been rocking parties around town with a bit of New Orleans flavor for 15 years.
The group started making a tradition of this last crazy fling before Lent, even before it became a big deal (and another big bar night) up north, hosting its annual events at the late, lamented New Orleans-style restaurant/night club Fat Fish Blue.
But Fat Fish’s closing three years ago didn’t close them down. Cats on Holiday just moved the fun west to the Parkview NiteClub in the Gordon Square neighborhood. Hey it’s not Bourbon Street but … maybe that’s a good thing!
