Downtown’s Trinity Cathedral gets turned into a stage and sock-hop dance floor for Near West Theatre’s annual benefit, “You Can’t Stop the Beat.”
Continuing its tradition of throwing amazing parties, NWT’s 2013 bash will include a high-energy, original performance by NWT cast members as well as food and drink, a DJ and dancing, a silent auction and raffle, and other surprises. All hosted by Hairspray‘s Edna Turnblad. Dress in late-’50s/early-‘6os attire if you like. Go and help out a vital organization. Single tickets are $85.

Wow…JUST the idea of in a cathedral..wish em the best..hey…LOT of black,minority singers,etc.came out of churchcrews… BLESS churches for what they do tooo…feed,house,clothe,babysit,etc. TOUGH road…guess THIS is semi gift to them…or least ones in back behind curtains…NICE way to spend winter evening…
