Years ago, when there were only a few good places to eat out in Ohio City, Hecks Cafe was there. It celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022.
And now when there are lots of great choices in the neighborhood, Hecks Cafe is still there, serving savory appetizers, fresh salads, great burgers and sandwiches for lunch; hardy steaks and chicken dishes for dinner and homemade desserts to top it off. And, of course, there’s the amazing brunch.
It opened another location in Avon on the far wet side in 2015. And for many years it also had an east suburban outpost at Eton in Woodmere. It returned to the east side 2023, taking over the former Blu/Moxie space in Beachwood, restoring its east/west/heart of the city balance.
