After the kids go back to school and they are ready to close down the pools, Lakewood throws open the pool gates for one day only: just for the dogs.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park, with help from the City of Lakewood and the Lakewood City Schools Community Recreation and Education Department, the Sixth Annual Lakewood Dog Swim was held on 9/7/10 this year, welcoming dozens of dogs to one of the largest pools in the region to raise money for the Dog Park. Not sure who enjoyed it more: the dogs or the dog owners. Watch the video here.
