Cleveland’s Take a Hike tours offers a wide variety of exploration of various Cleveland neighborhoods and landmarks.
In November, its strolls series of 45-60 minute walking tours of local landmarks offers an architectural tour of one of Cleveland’s most spectacular downtown building, the Arcade, between Euclid and Superior avenues. The Arcade opened in 1890 as one of the country’s first indoor shopping centers. Its five-story atrium with its wraparound balconies offering spectacular views make it a marvel even today when the luxury shops it once held are long gone and many of the spaces are offices or quick-bite eateries for the downtown lunch crowd, with a Hyatt Regency Hotel on the upper floors.
