Memorial Show Honors Musician/Beachland Manager Jeff Deasy Who Passed Away in February

Fri 4/25 @ 6PM

Local punk rocker Lachlan McKinnon committed suicide in February of 2024, leaving behind a legion of grieving friends and fans, who are now hosting the Lachlan MacKinnon Annual Memorial Show at the Beachland. This year, they’ll also be honoring another beloved local musician Jeff Deasy, who passed away in February. Not only did he play in multiple bands, but he also was a longtime manager and bartender at the Beachland, where he assembled an army of friends and acquaintances; money raised will go to his daughter’s schooling. The evening will start with an hour of stories and memories of Jeff from 6-7pm; anyone who has a story to share is welcome to do so.

Both ballroom and tavern will be commandeered for this show to accommodate the large number of bands playing, including Wrong Places, OONGOW!!!, Whatever…, Strange Notes, Public Squares, Living Stereo, St. Fragile and The Faraways. Most are bands Deasy had a connection to, including a reunion show of his 2006-2011 band Living Stereo. There’s a $20 suggested donation; you’re welcome to give more.
