Holden Arboretum Sculptural Pieces "Forest Forms" On View for Only One More Week

Through Sun 9/7 @ 9AM-4PM

In the past several years, Holden Arboretum in Kirtland has added a special attraction for summer visitors, not that it needs anything more than its expansive 3,600-acre facility with its woods, meadows, lakes and huge variety of plants, as well as Kalberer Emergent Tower and Murch Canopy Walk where you can get a bird’s eye view of the landscape.

This year’s attraction, which opened in May, is called “Forest Forms.” It includes 18 sculptures range from five to 20 feet tall, and depict things such as a fox family, a stack of flowers and a peacock. They’ll be scattered throughout the grounds, making for a fun walk to discover them all.

They were designed by artist Huelani Mei, who uses a “line work” style to depict form, movement and rhythm, in powder-coated steel pieces that both depict and blend with nature. Read more about Mei and Forest Forms here.

You only have one more week to see the sculptures at Holden, through Sunday September 7. All attraction are included in general admission. Reserve tickets here.
