Cleveland musician Jack McLaughlin is the driving force behind Cleveland band Jack & the Optimists. An active part of Cleveland’s indie music scene for more than 15 years, McLaughlin released a solo album in 2022 and the debut Jack & the Optimists album titled Shades of You in late 2023. The band includes McLaughlin on guitar and vocals, Patrick McLaughlin on bass and vocals, and Brian Randall on drums nad vocals.
Now he’s got a brand-new Optimists vinyl album ready to go, titled Mad About You, and the band will be unveiling it at a release show at the Treelawn on Waterloo this Friday. Drew Joseph will open the evening. Go here for tickets.
