As part of its partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Art, Piano Cleveland offers free lunchtime performances in the museum’s Ames Family Atrium.
This week, Chinese pianist Jiayan Sun, associate professor of music and associate chair for performance activities at Smith College, will be providing the music. He earned his bachelor’s, master’s and doctor of music degrees from Juilliard and has won numerous competitions, including the audience prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition, and performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, among others. He performs on early keyboard instruments such as the harpsichord and fortepiano, in addition to piano.
