Mon 8/3-Sun 8/9
This week the county fair action moves down to the Medina County Fairgrounds in Medina, with a full seven days of fair action. That includes all the expected favorites: a glut of mostly unhealthy but ridiculously tasty food, rides you hopefully won’t throw it up on, barns full of animals and 4H exhibits, free live entertainment of all types including animal shows, circus acts and cover bands, line dancing, and a fair prince and princess crowning.
And you know what you’ll find in the grandstand: bull riding, motocross, a truck and tractor pull, a “rough truck” contest, an event called “Medina Motor Mania” and of COURSE a demolition derby — that’s on Friday but you definitely want to grab your tickets earlier. There’s also a country singer, Warren Zeiders, performing in the grandstand on Wednesday August 5, with tickets an eye-popping $55-$65 — this definitely isn’t your mom and dad’s county fair (All the other grandstand events are $14 in addition to fair admission). And the fireworks that wrap up the fair on Sunday August 9 are free with admission.
