Lakewood’s Front Porch concert series runs from June to August each year, with all of the early concerts taking place in front of the main branch of the Lakewood Public Library and the last two taking place at the Madison Park Pavilion.
This week there should be a lot of dancing on Detroit Road in front of the library when swamp rockers Cats on Holiday take the stage. The band led by button box accordion player/guitarist/vocalist Denis DeVito, has a history stretching back decades performing a style that’s almost unique in this area, with roots in good old rock n’ roll with a twist of downhome Louisiana Zydeco vibe.
The shows are free and open to all.
