A Colony of Castles Will Spring Up at Edgewater Beach at the 4th Annual Sand Festival

Sat 8/4 @ 8AM-4PM

Like you needed another reason to head out to Cleveland’s recently upgraded Edgewater Park Beach on an August Saturday, especially with the kids going back to school way too soon. But this week is the 4th annual Cleveland Sand Festival, a family-friendly event which will be going on all day.

More than 50 teams and individuals will be constructing sand edifices of sand building up to the parade of castles and public voting starting at 2pm, with awards announced at 4pm.

There’s also a volleyball tournament at 10am and of course, you can swim and picnic all day. There’ll be food trucks and a beer garden onsite. To participate in the sand castle contest or volleyball tournament, you must pre-register here.
There are fees to participate in the sand-building and volleyball contests, but it’s free to spectate.
