The Rocky River Chamber Music Society closes its 2016-2017 season with a concert la crème de la crème of Ohio classical musicians.
Cleveland Orchestra violinist Katherine Bormann, violist Lembi Veskimets and cellist Charles Bernard will be joined by players from the opposite end of the state: Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra principal horn player Elizabeth Freimuth, clarinetist Benjamin Freimuth and pianist Kimberly Russ.
They’ll perform a program of compositions by Carl Reinecke, Franz Strauss, Robert Schumann, and Ernst von Dohnányi (grandfather of the former Cleveland Orchestra music director). As always, the concert takes place at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church and as always it’s free.
